Itinerary
Depart from Dar es Salaam in the morning and travel to Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania’s most accessible wildlife destinations.
Upon arrival, begin your safari with a game drive through the park’s scenic plains, where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, hippos, and a variety of antelope and bird species.
After your game drive, continue to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, travel toward the Udzungwa Mountains, home to lush forests, dramatic landscapes, and the spectacular Sanje Waterfalls.
Enjoy a guided hike to Sanje Waterfalls, taking in the beautiful forest scenery along the way. Depending on conditions and local guidance, there may be an opportunity to enjoy the refreshing natural pools around the falls.
Later, return toward the Mikumi area and experience an authentic Maasai cultural encounter, learning about traditional ways of life, customs, and the community's connection with the land.
After the day's activities, settle in for dinner and overnight at Camp Bastan Mikumi.

A walking safari allows you to explore the bush on foot with a trained guide. Instead of focusing only on large animals, you learn to identify animal tracks, plants, birds, insects, and other signs of wildlife.
