Itinerary
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha. Travel through the lush farmlands and scenic highlands before entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll enjoy spectacular views of the crater and surrounding landscapes. Continue your journey toward the iconic Serengeti National Park, passing through the famous Naabi Hill Gate before beginning your first exciting game drive. Keep an eye out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, cheetahs, and many other wildlife species as you make your way to camp.
Overnight: Golden Safari Camp Serengeti
Begin your day with an unforgettable optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Serengeti's endless plains and wildlife below. After landing, enjoy a delicious bush breakfast before continuing your full-day game drive.
Explore different regions of the Serengeti in search of the Big Five, large herds of wildebeest and zebras, graceful giraffes, powerful elephants, and predators including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your wildlife adventure until sunset.
Overnight: Golden Safari Camp Serengeti
After an early breakfast in the Serengeti, depart the park and begin your scenic journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The route takes you from the vast plains of the Serengeti towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most remarkable natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater, descend approximately 600 metres into the crater for an unforgettable game drive across its rich grasslands, forests, and soda lake. The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and numerous antelope species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. After the game drive, ascend from the crater and begin your return journey towards Arusha Airport or Arusha Town.

No. The hot air balloon safari is an optional activity available at an additional cost. It takes place at sunrise over the Serengeti and includes a champagne-style bush breakfast after landing.
You have an excellent chance of seeing the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino—especially during your visit to the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. As wildlife moves freely, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
This safari can be enjoyed throughout the year. The dry season (June to October) offers excellent wildlife viewing, while the green season (December to March) is ideal for witnessing the Great Wildebeest Migration in certain areas of the Serengeti.
